New Hampshire Bike Week Crash Kills 3

STODDARD, N.H. (CBS4) ― A deadly start to the annual Bike Week in New Hampshire.

Police say three people died Friday in an accident involving a Jeep and seven motorcycles. The crash was in Stoddard, New Hampshire. The motorcyclists were on their way to Motorcycle Week in Laconia.

Deborah Huston, 51, of Bowdoinham, Maine, who was driving her Jeep in the westbound lane, tried to avoid the motorcycle, but was unsuccessful. The Jeep and the motorcycle collided. Huston's Jeep rolled over into the eastbound lane, where it hit the last three motorcycles traveling with the group.

Huston was taken to Cheshire Medical Center where she was treated and released. Huston's two passengers were also treated and released.

Steven Leamy, 38, of Broad Brook, Conn., Larry McFetridge, 54, of Bristol, Conn. and Christopher Fontaine, 39, of Chicopee, Mass. were all pronounced dead at the scene.

Motorcyclist Donald Greene, 43, of East Hartford, Conn. is in critical condition at Dartmouth Hichock Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Two other riders, Kurt Neligon, 46, of Granby, Connecticut and Dean Stoddard, 41, of Easthampton, Mass. were also involved in the crash. Neligon suffers from a leg injury and Stoddard was uninjured.
