Police are hoping to catch a robber who hit up a clothing store in Newton Center Wednesday afternoon.
Before telling a clerk he was robbing the Dahila's clothing store, the robber first apologized, Newton police officials said.
He then said, "This is a hold up. Give me all the money."
While the robber didn't show a weapon, he kept his hand in his pocket, and the Dahila's clerk believed he had a gun.
Before taking off, the robber stole the clerk's cell phone and the keys to the store. He then tried to use the keys to lock the clerk inside the store.
Police released a composite sketch of the robber. He is described as a white man with a medium build. He has brown eyes and weighs between 125 and 150 pounds.
Anyone who recognizes the man is asked to contact Det. Sampson at 617-796-2104 or call the Newton Police Tip Line at 617-796-2121.
