Patriots Confirm: Harrison's Season Over

(CBS4) The New England Patriots confirmed Tuesday what cbs4boston.com was first to report on Monday. Safety Rodney Harrison is finished for the season.

CBS4 Sports Director Bob Lobel learned that Harrison tore the ACL in his left knee. It happened during the Patriots 23-20 win over Pittsburgh on Sunday. Lobel also reports that the injury may end Harrison's football career.

Harrison, 32, is in his 12th NFL season and was signed by the Patriots as a veteran free agent in 2003. He has been a defensive captain for the Patriots in each of his three seasons in New England.
