Youkilis Shaves Goatee Off For Charity
BOSTON (WBZ) ―
Red Sox first baseman Kevin Youkilis got a close shave Tuesday.
The Gold Glove winner had his signature goatee cut off on Tuesday, all in the name of charity.
"It feels good. It feels nice and clean," Youkilis said. "I might blend in with the crowd a little bit more now."
Gillette is donating $5,000 to Youkilis' newly formed organization, Kevin Youkilis Hits for Kids, in exchange for a shave that was performed at the Cask 'n Flagon next to Fenway Park.
The newly formed charity is dedicated to rallying local and corporate support for groups focused on the health and well-being of children in New England and in Youkilis' hometown of Cincinnati.
