The roof of a Brighton pharmacy collapsed under the weight of snow and ice Sunday. Part of the roof at the Rite Aid Pharmacy on 181 Brighton Avenue fell into the store just after 5 p.m.
According to authorities, four workers and a shopper were inside at the time. The customer was hit with some ceiling tiles and taken to St. Elizabeth's Hospital for evaluation.
Half of the roof collapsed, and fire crews say they are concerned not only about the remaining portion of the roof, but about the walls. They are buckling.
Engineers were called to the scene to inspect the building.
