Police Find Flutie's Heisman Ring In Gambling Bust

WARWICK, R.I. (CBS4) ― Rhode Island State Police found Doug Flutie's Heisman trophy ring during an illegal gambling bust. The ring, which Flutie reportedly lost several years ago, was found in the home of an alleged bookmaker.

Detectives arrested 28-year-old Kevin Campanella, of Warwick, R.I., on Wednesday following a two-month investigation.

Campanella is facing charges for organize criminal gambling, bookmaking and marijuana possession.

Flutie's ring was found during a search of Campanella's home. Police say arrangements have been made to return the ring to the former Boston College star.

Flutie won the Heisman trophy following his senior season at Boston College in 1984.
