Police have identified the little girl who was killed Saturday afternoon when she was struck by a landscaping truck while riding her bicycle in Foxboro.
10-year-old Rose Shatz was a resident of Willow Street.
Police told CBS4's Bill Shields the truck driver was heading east on that street around 2:15 p.m. Saturday, when he saw the girl coming at him, he drove the truck onto the other side of the road. For some reason, the girl turned her bike into the path of the truck
"It's devastating. To lose a life, a ten-year-old kid to a traffic accident...it's horrible," said one neighbor.
Some residents have complained about a lack of sidewalks and say speeding is always a problem.
The truck driver has not been cited. Police said they are still investigating the accident.
