There has been an arrest in the murders of two men at a cement pouring company in Wakefield back in March.
The Middlesex District Attorney's office says 44-year-old Sean Fitzpatrick of Freedom, New Hampshire is now in custody in connection with the shootings.
39-year-old Michael Zammitti Jr. was found shot in the head, slumped at his second-floor desk at Allstate Concrete Pumping on March 13 .
51-year-old Chester Roberts, a part-time driver, was found on the first floor, shot in the back.
Authorities believe Fitzpatrick drove to Wakefield from New Hampshire on March 13 and shot the two victims.
District Attorney Martha Coakley said Fitzpatrick had intended to kill Zammitti, whom he knew as a friend and neighbor at Zammitti's summer home in New Hampshire. Roberts was at the wrong place at the wrong time, she said.
"Fitzpatrick was interested in pursuing a relationship with Michael Zammitti's wife," Coakley said, adding that no relationship had developed.
Michelle and Michael Zammitti had been married 10 years and had three children, she said.
During a hearing Tuesday in Northern Caroll County District Court, in Conway, N.H., Fitzpatrick did not agree to surrender to Massachusetts authorities.
He did not speak, and a public defender was appointed for him. His next court hearing was scheduled for June 20.
