State Trooper, K-9 Hurt In Boston Collision

A State trooper and a K-9 dog were hurt when a car crashed into the cruiser they were in Friday night.

The collision happened as the trooper was driving north on Morrissey Boulevard near UMass when a Mustang making a U-Turn slammed into the cruiser.

Rescue crews had to use Jaws of Life to get the trooper and his police dog out.

He and the dog were hurt but are both expected to be OK.
