Fallen Marine Laid To Rest In Rockland

ROCKLAND (WBZ) ― A 20-year-old Marine was laid to rest today in Rockland.

Lance Corporal Walter O'Haire was killed last week in Iraq. He was shot May 9 while on foot patrol in Anbar province.

O'Haire had been in Iraq for just six weeks and was motivated to join the Marines after September 11.

Governor Patrick attended the funeral service at the Holy Name Church in Rockland.
