Teens Arrested In Cape Cod Whale Caper

HYANNIS (CBS4) ― Two teenagers have been arrested and charged with stealing a 400-pound fiberglass whale sculpture.

The whale belongs to the Cape Cod Whale Trail, the largest public arts display on the Cape. The sculptures will be auctioned off at the end of the summer for non-profit groups.

17-year-old Carolyn Bingham of Hyannis and 18-year-old Alecia Dempsey of Mashpee were arrested.

Police found the giant sculpture in a bedroom.
