Allston Stabbing Under Investigation
ALLSTON (AP) ―
A judge has revoked bail for a Boston man charged as an accessory in a fatal stabbing in the Allston neighborhood.
Prosecutors say the victim, 24-year-old Gregory Phillips, was stabbed once in the heart when two groups fought after leaving a bar early Sunday.
Minutes after the stabbing, police arrested 22-year-old Corey Patterson and charged him with accessory after the fact of murder. He was also charged with assaulting the arresting officers.
On Monday, a Brighton District Court judge revoked bail for an unrelated drug charge, meaning Patterson would remain locked up even if he makes the $200,000 bail set for the accessory charge.
Police said Patterson was in possession of a bloody knife when arrested. The knife is being tested.
Patterson's lawyer did not immediately return a call seeking comment.
