Bacteria Closes Several South Shore Beaches
BOSTON (WBZ) ―
Several beaches in Quincy, Marshfield and Plymouth have been closed because of high bacteria counts.
In Marshfield, beaches off Brant Rock, Fieldston and Green Harbor are closed. In Plymouth, beaches off Nelson Street, White Horse and parts of Plymouth Beach are closed.
The temporary closures came after routine testing showed unsafe levels of bacteria. Officials found a particularly high level of bacteria at Wollaston Beach.
