'Big Brother' Winner Arrested In North Reading

BOSTON (WBZ) ― A reality TV star was arrested in Massachusetts over the weekend.

Adam Jasinski, who won CBS' "Big Brother" last year, was charged with dealing the pain killer oxycodone in North Reading Saturday.

Federal investigators say he confessed to using the $500,000 he won on the show to run a drug ring.

Jasinski spoke to a government witness from his home in Delray Beach, Florida and agreed to fly to Boston to sell him 2,000 oxycodone pills, according to prosecutors.

Once Jasinski arrived at Logan Airport, the witness drove him to a strip mall in North Reading.

Jasinkski allegedly showed the witness a sock containing two plastic bags filled with the popular street drug.

As agents tried to arrest him, he struggled and threw the sock under a car parked nearby, Todd Prough, a special agent with the Drug Enforcement Administration, said in an affidavit filed in court.

Prough said that Jasinski told him that he has been using his winnings to buy thousands of oxycodone pills and has been reselling them along the East Coast for the past several months.

Jasinski's lawyer, Valerie Carter, did not immediately return a call Tuesday.

If convicted, he faces up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine.
