Firm Settlement Close In Big Dig Collapse
BOSTON (WBZ) ―
Prosecutors in the deadly Big Dig collapse case are close to a settlement deal with firms that worked on the project.
WBZ has learned those firms would pay $300 million for mistakes they made.
The settlement would prevent Bechtel and Parson Brinkerhoff from facing criminal charges in connection with the collapse that killed Milena Delvalle in July of 2006.
An official announcement may come next week.
