Police Find 2 Bodies In Norfolk Home
NORFOLK (WBZ) ―
Two bodies were found in a Norfolk home Wednesday afternoon. Police are calling the incident an apparent murder-suicide.
WBZ's SkyEye flying over the scene caught images of crime scene tape surrounding a home on Stony Road.
The victims are identified as Edmund Brabant, 68, who lives in the Norfolk home, and Edmund Brabant, Jr., 46, of North Attleboro. The two are said to be father and son.
Police suspect the son, who is believed to have history of mental illness, killed his father before killing himself.
According to the Chief Medical Examiner's office, the father died from blunt force trauma injuries. His son's cause of death remains unclear. Officials said are waiting on toxicology tests.
Neighbors say Edmund Brabant and his wife moved into the neighborhood only six months ago. They live right next door to another son, Mike, and his family.
According to the neighbor, there were never any problems with the family, and he's surprised and saddened by the news.
Police say the incident is still under investigation.
