Some customers at a new restaurant in South Boston ended up in the hospital Saturday night after part of a ceiling design collapsed.
The incident happened at the "Franklin Southie" on Dorchester Avenue, which opened just a few weeks ago.
Several heavy decorative wood panels that are suspended from the ceiling fell, injuring 11 people.
Eight of the victims went to the hospital to be treated for injuries that do not appear to be serious.
There is no word on exactly what caused the ceiling to come down. The incident is under investigation.
