Boston Violence Leaves 2 Dead, 5 Injured
BOSTON (WBZ) ―
Two people are dead and several others injured after a violent night in Boston.
Two young men were killed in two separate incidents in the city last night and early Saturday morning.
The first incident happened just before 8 p.m. at a home on Edwardson Street in Hyde Park. Police said they found a 17-year-old man lying on the street suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to Brigham and Women's Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Then, just after 1:30 a.m., police were called to the intersection of Circuit Street and Walnut Avenue in Roxbury, where they found a 20-year-old man who had been shot. He was rushed to Boston Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
There were also several shooting in and around the city that left five people injured.
Four people were shot at a home on West Street in Hyde Park around 2:30 a.m. Three of the victims were taken to Brigham and Women's Hospital, and the fourth victim was rushed to Beth Israel Hospital. All four are said to have non-life threatening injures.
Around 4 a.m. Saturday morning, another person was shot on Elder Street in Dorchester. That person is also said to have non-life threatening injuries.
Boston police are investigating these incidents.
