Boston Magazine has compiled a list of the area's top public high schools.

What makes this survey different from others is it not only looked at the schools that are performing well, but it considered schools that are operating efficiently too.

The top ten schools include Brookline High, Boston Latin, Sharon High School, Algonquin Regional High School, Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School and Weston High. (View Boston Magazine's complete list.)

The report also includes teacher to student ratios, MCAS and SAT scores, enrollment and per-pupil spending.
