Francona To Miss Next 2 Games

BOSTON (WBZ) ― Red Sox manager Terry Francona will miss the team's two-game series on Tuesday and Wednesday in Baltimore, because of a death in his family.

Mary Ann Lang, the mother of his wife, Jacque, passed away on Monday night in Tucson, Arizona, according to the Red Sox. Francona and his family flew to Tucson Tuesday.

The Red Sox wrapped up a four-game trip to Minneapolis Monday night, losing to the Twins, 7-3.

In a statement, the Red Sox said bench coach Brad Mills will manage the team in Baltimore.
