Rain Blamed In Bourne Bridge Head-On Crash
BOURNE (WBZ) ―
Heavy rain is blamed for a head-on crash on the Bridge Bridge that sent three people to area hospitals early Saturday morning.
The collision happened just before 6 a.m. when a southbound car hydroplaned over the bridge and hit a northbound vehicle head-on. All three people in the southbound car were taken to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the northbound vehicle was not injured.
Bourne police said it was raining heavily at the time of the wreck. The bridge was closed for about one hour following the crash while crews cleared the accident.
