Man Shot To Death On Basketball Court

BOSTON (WBZ) ― A 20-year-old man was killed Monday afternoon when he was shot at the Southwest Corridor park at Boylston and Lamartine streets in Jamaica Plain.

The shooting happened around 4 p.m. Monday on a basketball court across the street from the Stony Brook MBTA station. The victim, Luis Troncoso, was rushed to Brigham and Women's Hospital where he died.

Police have also not released suspect descriptions.

Neighbors said they were shocked by the shooting that happened in an area that is not often touched by crime.

There were several people at the park when the bullets fired. 

Last week, two people were hit by bullets in a drive-by shooting in Jamaica Plain.
