Man Killed By Red Line Train In Porter Square

Authorities closed the Porter Square station after the incident.

A man trapped underneath a Red Line train in Porter Square has died, according to Cambridge Police.
The incidenent happened late Friday morning, though it is still not clear how the man ended up in the tracks.
Passengers were bused between Harvard Station and Alewife for several hours during the investigation. Train service returned to normal late Friday afternoon.
