Patrick Still Weighing Casino Gambling

BOSTON (WBZ/AP) ― Whether he'll support casino gambling in Massachusetts is the big question facing Governor Deval Patrick as he returns from vacation. He says he's still making up his mind. Speaking to reporters after attending a union Labor Day breakfast, Patrick rejected the notion that moving ahead with expanded gaming would consume his administration at the expense of other projects.

The Mashpee Wampanoag tribe has purchased land in Middleboro and plans to build a $1 billion casino there if lawmakers allow it.
