Car Strikes Elderly Woman After Chatham Parade
CHATHAM (WBZ) ―
An 81-year-old woman was in critical condition Saturday after she was hit by a car at Chatham's July 4th parade.
Chatham fire officials said a car backed up into the woman immediately following the parade.
The Cape Cod Times reports the woman was found underneath the car.
Fire officials say the crash happened at 11:09 a.m. on Post Office Road.
The woman is listed in critical condition at a Boston hospital.
As of Saturday afternoon, no charges had been filed against the driver of the car involved.
The woman's name has not been released.
