It may seem early, but two Boston radio stations are already kicking off the Christmas tunes.
WROR (105.7 FM) and
WODS (103.3 FM) started playing Christmas songs around the clock on Thursday, and will continue to play them through Christmas Day.
"We received such an overwhelmingly positive response from our listeners in 2007 when we went all Christmas that we decided to bring it back again for 2008," said WROR Program Dir. Kevin West.
In addition to Christmas songs, from 5 p.m. 7p.m. Monday through Friday, kids can call into WROR and talk to Santa Claus. (Here's the number: 617.931.1057.)
Both stations started playing Christmas songs earlier than usual this year. Last year, both stations started their holiday songs on November 12.
This is the second year WROR has played all Christmas songs, all the time. WODS started the tradition six years ago.
