Anti-War Activist Cindy Sheehan Coming To Vineyard
BOSTON (WBZ) ―
Anti-war protestor Cindy Sheehan is traveling to Martha's Vineyard to demonstrate as President Barack Obama and his family vacation on the island.
According to her website, Sheehan will join "other like-minded peace activists" to bring her cause to the attention of the President.
The President and his family are scheduled to arrive Sunday at the Blue Heron Farm in Chilmark.
Sheehan lost her son in the Iraq War in 2004. Since then, she has embarked upon a high-profile anti-war crusade, including instances where she famously heckled former President George W. Bush while he vacationed at his ranch in Crawford, Texas.
Sheehan wrote on her blog, "The new titular head of the empire needs to know that his policies are devastating people as much as the same policies did when Bush was president."
There are no details at this point on where Sheehan will stay or when she will arrive on the island.
