Dead Animals Hung Up At Harvard In Apparent Prank

Student Drape Animal Carcasses Up At Harvard Dorm

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. Some Harvard students strung up dead animals outside the Dunster House in Cambridge as part of a prank, Cambridge Animal Control officials said.

One sheep was completely wrapped around a tree branch while another was hung by its head on an iron fence in front of the Dunster and Eliot House, located on Memorial Drive.  The Dunster House is one of Harvard's oldest dorms.

Officials said they believe it to be a prank by the anthropology students who live at the Dunster House.

According to Animal Control officials, the house had a roast Friday night. A dead goat was also found on the premise.

According to the Dunster House's Web site, the group has another roast planned for Saturday afternoon and evening.

Harvard officials said while the Harvard Police Department is investigating the incident, they have no reason to believe it's part of an organized protest.
