Gov. Deval Patrick has one less thing to worry about: His hair.

The governor had his head shaved nearly bald, telling The Boston Globe he loves the new look because it's so low maintenance.

Patrick has always worn his hair close -- except in college when he had an Afro -- but has never taken almost all of it off. He admits not everyone has been super positive about the cut. He joked that Senate President Therese Murray gave him a "most uncharitable" look when she spotted it Monday.

Patrick's timing has also been called into question. The weekend trim came just in time for the frigid temperatures of the last two days.
