Roslindale Double Shooting Leads To Standoff
ROSLINDALE, Mass. (WBZ) ―
Police were in a standoff with at least one suspect accused of shooting a man and a woman in Roslindale Tuesday afternoon.
The shooting happened on Beechland Street, police said. Police led a man and a woman out in handcuffs and took them into custody during the standoff at a housing complex. A man, who appeared to be injured, also left the building just before 6 p.m.
Police later took a third suspect into custody. No hostages were involved in the standoff, officials said, and the area is secure.
The male shooting victim was hit in the torso while a bullet grazed the woman's neck. Both victims are recovering from their non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.
Police said the male victim is in his 20s and the woman is about 30 years old. One was taken to Brigham and Women's Hospital while the other was taken to Boston Medical Center.
Police have not released the name of the shooting suspect.
