Hit-And-Run Driver Kills Easton Man
EASTON (WBZ) ―
Easton police are searching for a driver who ran over a 58-year-old man Saturday morning, killing him, and then drove off.
John McCarthy was walking south on Washington Street early Saturday morning when he was hit by a car. McCarthy was taken to Good Samaritan Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Police were alerted of the hit-and-run when someone called 911 about a man lying on the side of the road in the area of 140 Washington Street. Police say they are looking for a 1996 to 2002 black Infinity QX45 SUV or a Nissan Pathfinder. Police say the vehicle will have front end damage.
