Rachel Entwistle's Parents Break Long Silence

BOSTON (WBZ) ― For the first time, the parents of Rachel Entwistle have broken their public silence about the murders of their daughter and granddaughter.

Rachel and her baby girl Lillian Rose were shot to death in their Hopkinton home by Rachel's husband Neil Entwistle in January 2006.

Entwistle is now serving two life sentences for the murders.

Rachel's parents Priscilla and Joe Matterazzo told the Boston Herald they never suspected their son-in-law could be a killer.

Now they are dedicated to fighting domestic violence.

"I guess our main goal is to let people know there are places they can go and get help before anything turns into a tragedy," Joe Matterazzo told the paper.

Priscilla still wears a pink rose every day in honor of her granddaughter.

The Matterazzos are planning a charity race in October in memory of Rachel and Lily.
