For the second time this summer, State Police say a woman has been sexually assaulted on the Esplanade.
The latest incident happened around 4 a.m. Sunday.
Authorities say the victim was walking near Beacon and Hereford Streets in Boston when a man pulled a knife on her and forced her to walk to the Esplanade where he attacked her.
The man also allegedly stole her cell phone and camera before walking her back to the area where they met. Police say he ran off from there.
The woman told police the suspect is a bald, black man with a large, muscular build. He was wearing a white tank top and blue jeans at the time of the incident.
Police increased patrols on the Esplanade last month after a woman was sexually assaulted while jogging there late at night on June 16.
There's no word at this time if the two attacks are related. There have been no arrests in either case.
