Construction Site Fire Kills 1, Injures 4

FALMOUTH (WBZ) ― One person was killed and several firefighters were injured in a house that was under construction in Falmouth Saturday afternoon.

Falmouth police said a construction crew was working inside a house at 28 Deer Run Lane in North Falmouth around 2 p.m. when a fire broke out, trapping one worker.

That worker was eventually rescued and taken to Falmouth Hospital where he later died.

The four injured firefighters where treated and released from Falmouth Hospital.

It's unknown what sparked the fire. Fire officials say the home was undergoing a major renovation.
