A man was stabbed in the Faneuil Hall marketplace early Friday morning.
Police say the man left the Blackstone Grill on Union Street and ended up getting into some sort of confrontation with someone he knew across the street near Quincy Market.
He walked back to the restaurant bleeding from the chest, looking for help.
He was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital, where he's listed in stable condition.
His name has not been released.
There have been no arrests.
Investigators followed a trail of blood from the Blackstone Grill to McCormick & Schmick's in Faneuil Hall and found a steak knife that appears to have been used in the attack.
