Man Dies Following Buzzards Bay Boat Crash
NEW BEDFORD (AP) ―
A man has died after falling overboard when two boats collided in Buzzards Bay off New Bedford.
A Coast Guard spokesman said the accident happened Friday around 1:45 p.m. when the 60-foot Reason collided with a 30-foot sailboat called the Padanaram.
The victim fell off the Padanaram and was picked up by a Coast Guard crew. His name was not released. The cause of death was not immediately clear.
The boats were taken to New Bedford Harbor for further investigation.
