1 Dead, 1 Seriously Hurt In Bridgewater Crash
BRIDGEWATER (WBZ) ―
One woman was killed and another was seriously injured in a 1-car crash on Route 24 South Saturday morning, State police said.
The wreck happened around 9:47 a.m. at Route 106 in West Bridgewater when the Ford Explorer they were in lost control and rolled over.
State police say neither woman was wearing a seat belt and they both ejected from the SUV during the crash.
The surviving victim, 35-year-old Tanya Terry, was airlifted to Beth Israel with serious injuries. Ginger Santos, 34, of Raynham died at the scene.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. Police are asking for witnesses to contact them at 508-947-2222.
The roadway was shut down for about two hours while crews removed the wreckage.
