Metal Plate Crushes Westford Worker To Death

Federal investigators have been called in to determine what caused a giant metal plate to fall onto a 62-year-old Pacella's Quarry worker, crushing him to death.

Safety inspectors have been called in to investigate the death of a quarry worker in Westford Friday.
Manuel Neves was killed Friday at Pacella's Quarry when a giant metal plate was dropped by an excavator, pinning him underneath.
Federal investigators were called in to help figure out the cause.
The 62-year-old Neves was from Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
