Former Firefighter Facing Jail For Child Porn
SPRINGFIELD (AP) ―
A former Springfield firefighter who pleaded guilty to child pornography charges is facing sentencing.
Brian Wilkerson faces up to five years in prison when he's sentenced Thursday in U.S. District Court.
Last month, the 12-year veteran firefighter at the Worthington Street fire headquarters was sent to prison early for violating pre-sentencing conditions of his release.
The Republican of Springfield reported that Wilkerson went to a job without informing U.S. Pretrial Services.
His lawyer says he was just trying to earn a living by working odd jobs.
