Officer, Suspect Injured In Police Chase

FITCHBURG (WBZ) ― An officer and a suspect were injured during a police chase in Fitchburg on Thursday.

Police say the accident happened at the corner of Pearl and Myrtle streets around 1 p.m.

Both the officer and the suspect were taken to Leominster Health Alliance Hospital as a precaution. It appears their injuries are not life-threatening.

According to police, the chase started because the suspect failed to stop.
