22 Teens Busted at Reservoir Drinking Party
FOXBORO (WBZ) ―
Nearly two dozen teenagers will face charges related to an underage drinking party held on a small island in the Neponset Reservoir in Foxboro Friday night.
A witness called police shortly before 10 p.m., claiming a small boat was transporting people from the shore to one of the islands.
When police and firefighters arrived on scene, four youths jumped in the water and attempted to swim away. One had to be rescued by firefighters.
Benjamin Carter, 22, of Foxboro, was arrested and charged with procuring alcohol for persons under 21, disturbing the peace, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
Matthew Hebert, 18, of Foxboro, was also arrested for alcohol possession.
Twenty-one teens, ranging from ages 16 to 19, will be summoned into court at a later day for alcohol possession and other charges.
All those rescued from the water were treated by EMTs at the scene and released to their parents.
