Woman's Flu Symptoms Divert Plane To Logan
BOSTON (WBZ) ―
A flight coming from Germany was diverted to Boston after a woman on the plane complained of flu-like symptoms.
United flight 903 from Munich to
Washington Dulles International Airport made an emergency stop in Boston after a 53-year-old woman told the flight crew she was feeling ill.
According to airport officials, there were 245 passengers onboard the plane and 16 crew members.

Officials did not bring the plane into a terminal. Instead, the plane taxied to a cargo terminal, where the sick passenger was removed from the plane.
The unidentified woman was taken to Mass. General Hospital for evaluation. The remaining passengers continued on their flight to Dulles. It landed at 4:35 p.m. ET.
A United Airline spokesperson told the Associated Press that the pilot landed in Boston on the advice of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
According to a spokesperson for the CDC, airlines frequently call the agency with reports of ill passengers, and those calls have been on the rise in recent days.
"We work to determine if the passenger needs immediate medical attention like EMS, or if they have an illness that could affect the public,"
Shelly Sikes Diaz explained.
"If a passenger is deemed to be at risk for having H1N1 swine flu, we would help them find appropriate medical treatment, and provide the rest of the passengers with a Travel Health Alert Notice."

The so-called "yellow card" outlines the symptoms of swine flu, advises passengers to take their temperature twice a day, and includes other simple precautions.
Logan Airport wasn't taking chances Friday. A man was taken from the airport to Massachusetts General Hospital later in the day after complaining of flu-like symptoms.
