The search for a missing girl in a river in central Massachusetts has come to a tragic end.
Recovery teams found the body of 11-year-old Devin Wright of Orange during their first pass of the Millers River Tuesday morning, the fire department told WBZ.
She fell into the water while playing with other children Sunday evening.
Devin was found in about three feet of water about a quarter-mile from where she slipped into the rain-swollen river.
Police say she was playing with her younger brother and another friend.
Neighbors said her 10-year-old brother tried to reach her, but also fell in.
The girl was swept away, but her brother got out of the water safely.
The Army Corps of Engineers closed off water flow at two dams to lower the water level in the area of the search.
Orange is northwest of Worcester in Franklin County.
