An MBTA Green Line train with about 70 passengers derailed at Reservoir Yard in Brookline Friday evening during a snowstorm.
MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo said the front wheels of the first car of a two-car train derailed about 200 feet east of Reservoir Station on the D branch.
No passengers were injured in the derailment.
Buses were temporarily replacing trolley service between Fenway and Reservoir Stations. By 7 p.m. the bus shuttle was phased out and trolley service on the D branch was available as far west as Beaconsfield Station. By 9:30 p.m., full service had resumed along the D branch.
The cause of the derailment is under investigation.
