Seven people were hurt when a Green Line trolley bumped into the back of another trolley near the
Boylston Street station platform Friday morning.
MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo said the accident was minor and there was no visible damage to the trains. They were not travelling at a high rate of speed and they did not derail.
None of the injuries were life-threatening. Most were being treated for neck and back problems.
Two of the seven hurt were the trolley drivers. It's still not clear what caused the crash, which happened around 8:45 a.m.
Green Line passengers were bused between Arlington and Government Center.
The station re-opened about an hour-and-a-half later.
