Ipswich Group's Haiti Plea Seen From The Sky
IPSWICH (WBZ) ―
There is a remarkable cry for help from Haiti and it has a connection to Massachusetts.
A satellite image from an area near the airport in Port-Au-Prince shows the message "Please... Help Us... We Need... Water Food."
It was discovered by the staff of
Partners in Development, Inc., a Ipswich-based relief agency that operates a medical clinic in Haiti. Staff members were looking at satellite images on Google, trying to assess the damage around their clinic. That's when they came across the cry for help.

It's believed the message was written in sand or broken concrete.
Partners in Development has been operating in Haiti for twenty years and has staff currently at that clinic.
An additional team of 8 is headed from Massachusetts to Haiti on Saturday. A doctor and two trauma nurses are among the team members who will be bringing medical supplies and a solar water filter.
They are also trying to arrange for a shipment of fresh water out of the Turks and Caicos.
