Hanna Forces Jimmy Buffett Concert Time Change
BOSTON (WBZ) ―
A Jimmy Buffett concert scheduled for Saturday night at the Comcast Center will now be held earlier in the day because of
predicted heavy rain from tropical storm Hanna.
Jimmy Buffett and the outdoor venue made the decision to move the concert time because of expected heavy rain from the remnants of
Hurricane Hannah, which will move up the east coast Friday and into New England Saturday night.
As a result, the concert will now be held at 3 p.m. instead of the scheduled 8 p.m. performance.
Parking lots will be open at 8 a.m. Saturday, and
doors will open at 2 p.m.
Hanna is expected to make its way into New England early Saturday with a second and stronger burst to hit late Saturday night and into early Sunday morning.
The South Coast and the Cape and Islands are expected to be hit the hardest with winds of 25-to-45 mph.
