College Student Killed In I-91 Crash

HOLYOKE (AP) ― An Amherst College student died and three others were injured when their car rolled over on Interstate 91 in Holyoke.

State police say a northbound Honda Accord veered into the median about 10:30 p.m. Sunday, rolled over, dropped off an overpass and landed on a road below.

Nineteen-year-old Jordan Moore-Fields of Oak Park, Ill., was taken to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield where he was pronounced dead.

Driver Edward Prevatt of Trinidad; Matthew Ghiden of Concord, N.H.; and Christian Garris of New Bedford were treated and released from Baystate with non-life threatening injuries. They are all 21.

The men were returning to Amherst College from Baltimore, where they were visiting a friend.

The crash remains under investigation.
