Four people were arrested in Hyde Park on Monday after one of them allegedly shot at police officers.
According to police, officers from a drug control unit were following a suspect in a car. When the officers stopped the car on River Street, Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis said gun shots were exchanged between the suspects in the car and the police officers who made the stop.
Davis said one shot was fired by a suspect and one shot was returned by an officer.
After the incident, police say officers swarmed the car, disarmed the suspects and took them into custody. Their identities have not been released.
The incident is still under investigation and police say charges are still being worked out.
According to Davis, one officer was taken to an area hospital to be checked out, but added that it was standard procedure.
