A woman who was hit and killed by Amtrak train in Hyde Park Christmas Eve has been identified.
The Northeast Regional train was traveling to Washington when it struck Patricia Jeannetti, 48, just after 6 p.m. Wednesday.
She was pronounced dead at the scene and the train was delayed for about 1 hour, 35 minutes as investigators conducted preliminary work at the site.
An Amtrak spokesman described Jeannetti as a trespasser and did not know why she was on the tracks.
None of the 233 passengers on the train, or its crew, were hurt.
